Oyster Mushroom Calamari Can Help Strengthen Immunity

The oyster mushroom has a shell-like appearance. As its name suggests, it has a close resemblance to oysters.

Oftentimes, oyster mushrooms grow in the wild. You can easily spot them on dead trees or fallen logs.

Also, these mushrooms are popular for many years as a culinary and medicinal ingredient. Mushrooms are usually found in Asian dishes and traditional Chinese medicine.

We can list some of the health benefits that oyster mushroom gives.

First, studies show that oyster mushrooms possess powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

This may help provide relief from many inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.

Second, they are full of antioxidants. Antioxidants are substances that guard your cells against free radicals. Free radicals are unstable atoms that can damage cells, causing illness and aging.

Thus, antioxidants play an important role in neutralizing harmful free radicals preventing heart problems, cancer, and other diseases.

Third, oyster mushrooms are packed with nutrients that are good for the brain such as niacin, also known as Vitamin B3. This is helpful in preventing memory loss and mental confusion.

Again, we can’t always control our environment but by increasing our body’s immunity, we can put a good fight against sickness!
