Deliciously Baked Portobello Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 6 portobello mushrooms (cleaned)

  • 6 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 tsp sage (fresh and minced)

  • 2 tsp thyme (fresh)

Directions

  • Clean the mushroom caps and remove any dirt. Cut out the stems.
  • Place the mushroom caps into a glass dish. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, garlic, thyme and sage. Mix until all ingredients are well balanced.
  • Pour the mixture over the mushroom caps. Then, using a brush, spread the mixture evenly and make sure that each mushroom is well covered.
  • Set the oven to 300 °F (150 °C). Leave the mushrooms to marinade while preheating the oven.
  • Prepare a baking tray. Place parchment paper and spread the marinated mushrooms onto the tray. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Best served with flatbread or rice.
