This orzo pasta and mushrooms may sound simple, but it is satisfying and filling. You can whip a nice dinner in a few minutes or a side dish to go with your big fancy meal. Regardless of why you decide to make it, try this recipe once and you will be hooked.
Enjoy A Simple But Delicious Orzo Pasta with Mushrooms

Preparing this meal requires orzo pasta, shredded Swiss cheese, butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and sliced mushrooms.
If you need to go with other options, try using olive oil, Arborio rice, couscous, quinoa, shredded Mozzarella cheese, Italian mix cheese, and garlic powder.
While you are preparing the orzo pasta according to the package instructions, melt your butter and pour it into a bowl. Add the cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly.
Start heating a saucepan and add the rest of the butter. Allow the mushrooms to cook for about 5 minutes. Finish off by pouring in the orzo and cheese mix. Stir everything well and serve warm. You can also allow the pasta to cool down and serve it as a pasta salad instead.
If you prefer, skip the Swiss cheese and cook everything just the same. Once cool, sprinkle feta cheese and add chopped cherry tomatoes.
To make this a wholesome meal, consider adding some protein. You can add chicken, tilapia, pork, bacon, shrimp, or chickpeas. Make this a more fulfilling vegetarian meal and add more vegetables, such as broccoli, asparagus, zucchini, bell peppers, and onions.
You can also save this meal for later, but change things up by adding a thicker sauce. You can whisk up a tomato cream sauce, or pesto, and make a whole new meal.
Enjoy this orzo pasta with mushrooms any time you feel tired but hungry, or when you want a simple yet tasty meal.
