Potato and Mushroom Frittata To Try Any Time Of The Day
Let’s get cooking!
To begin with, gather your eggs, potatoes, cheddar cheese, dried chives, tomatoes, mushrooms, and black pepper. You can substitute some of these, including using Swiss or Colby Jack cheese, fresh chives, scallions, cherry tomatoes, red bell peppers, and paprika.
To make this meal more flavorful, consider adding more spices and other ingredients. You can add vegetables like onions, zucchini, and yellow squash. You can also add other seasonings, such as cumin, chili powder, or turmeric.
Remember to start the process by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. In the meantime, gather a bowl and mix in the eggs. Whisk them well adding the cheese, chives, and your potato. Combine all of these and set them aside.
Grab a big pan and place it over medium heat, coat with oil, and pour in the egg mixture. Add your mushrooms and tomato slices, sprinkle the mixture with salt and pepper.
Cook the egg and mushroom mixture for about 15 minutes. You can shape it with a spatula as you go, making sure it holds the shape you like.
Enjoy this frittata on its own, with some sour cream, or as a side dish. You can also add sour cream and bacon to make this a more filling meal. If you prefer, divide it up into pieces and serve with aioli.
If you want to prepare this meal ahead of time, you can also save it for later, freezing it after it has completely cooled down. Cut it into pieces before you freeze and save it in freezer-safe bags, wrapped in parchment paper if you want.
