Have you ever thought of shiitake beef soup? If you haven’t, then it’s about time you try making it at home. Plus, the flavors in this soup will have your family wanting a second serving.
Shiitake Beef Soup Is The Healthy Meat Dish You Wanted
What’s for dinner tonight?
This shiitake beef soup is not only tasty but healthy too. The mushrooms are very nutritious and powerful antioxidants, which protect you from cell damage and disease.
However, there’s more to this soup than just shiitake mushrooms. Onions and garlic have been used as a prebiotic for years, but they also prevent infection, disease, and cell damage.
On the other hand, sage is a very powerful antioxidant, which may also promote a healthy brain and heart function. In the same manner, black pepper can work to reduce free radical damage and reduce inflammation.
Here are other options for this wonderful soup:
Some recipes are very strict, but this dish is versatile and can be delicious either way. You can replace the bacon with beef, ground beef, chicken, or turkey. If you want to keep the meal vegetarian, use tofu instead.
As for the beef broth, any kind of stock would work. Some good alternatives are chicken, vegetable, or miso broth.
You can even make your own at home, just pick a protein, like chicken or beef, and leave it simmering with carrots, celery, and seasoning for a bit of time. Then, you should simply add the rest of the ingredients, or you can strain out the filling and have a tasty broth to reuse any time.
Finally, the cheddar cheese adds density, but can be swapped for mozzarella, Swiss, or provolone.
Also, if you want to add more vegetables, you can. Some ideas include bell peppers, corn, green beans, and celery.
Enjoy this soup as an appetizer or a whole meal. You will be warm and satisfied, but you may want a second serving too!
