Buttered Portobello Mushrooms with Garlic
2 tbsp butter (unsalted)
1 tbsp garlic (minced)
2 large portobello mushrooms
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
- Set the stove to medium heat.
- Melt butter in a skillet or frying pan.
- Saute (fry) the garlic until it turns golden brown.
- Add the portobello mushrooms to the garlic.
- Fry until the mushrooms turn soft and brown, sprinkle with cayenne pepper and salt to taste.
- Stir, then cover and allow to cook until the mushroom is tender. Check often.
- Transfer to a serving bowl.
- Serve with warm rice.
