A weekend pasta adventure!

Who says you can’t be a chef and have some fun too? This meal is just that, and everyone will love it. Start by gathering your ingredients. Take out the butter, onions, garlic, mushrooms, salt, pepper, heavy cream, thyme, lemon juice, soy sauce, fettuccine pasta, and Parmesan cheese.

You can always find substitutes if needed, including olive oil, shallots, garlic powder, half and half, coconut milk, dry thyme or oregano, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, and pecorino.

While your pasta is cooking, you can start heating the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic, onions, salt, and pepper. When the onions begin to brown, you can stir in the mushrooms. Be sure to leave them cooking for a few minutes, so they also soften. This process allows the mushrooms to release all their flavor and aroma.

Last but not least, stir in the thyme and cream, then allow the mixture to get to a rolling boil for about 5 minutes. Finish off by adding more flavor with soy sauce and lemon juice.

Serve your tasty and creamy sauce over warm noodles and top with the Parmesan cheese. You can also add these noodles as a part of a bigger dish, such as a creamy chicken casserole.
